Let the Right One In Review

Let the Right One In. MPAA: R
This movie came to my attention when I found out the new movie Let Me In was a remake of this great foreign film. It was a LOT better than I thought it would be. This was because I don't think much of most foreign films. Of course I like the Jet Li's of the world, but others just don't stand out to me. People have said it is a ripoff of Twilight. I disagree with that. The only thing the same about it is a vampire girl and a human boy fall in love... kind of. It never really gets too serious between the two, unlike Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, who make a vampire baby. Is there a serial killer in Twilight as a main theme? Do vampires sparkle in Let the Right One In? The answer to these questions is no. Overall, this is a film I would recommend this to people who aren't expecting a blood fest, people who aren't expecting Twilight, and people who are patient. (This film takes a while to get into) Grade: A

  1. Good review. Makes me want to see it. I'm sure the American re-make will be ... about as good as most remakes.
