The Black Parade; My Chemical Romance; Review

This album is great. I can go through this whole album without skipping a track. The songs just flow so well together, it's unbelievable. This album will make you feel angry, will make you want to jump up and down. This album will lift you up. And it will make you think. This is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. It brings power-punk to a new level. And succeeds greatly. From the first second of the first song to the last second of the last song, this album is ground-breaking. There are a few that don't stand out to me as much, but I still like them. This album satires "The Black Parade" which is supposedly the place where emos say they go when they die. So, what My Chem does is turns The Black Parade into a group of people who march down the street on a big float and comes to the people who are near death. It's genius! And clever. A big theme of the album is death, but it's fits perfectly. Here is a rundown of the songs.

The End: The intro of the album. Once you hear Gerard sing, and hear the heart-stopping guitar, you feel like you are going to get taken on a rock and roll adventure.

Dead!: Kicks off the beginning of the album and continues off of The End. From the epic scream at the beginning to the fun La la la la la bridge, it's outstanding.

This is How I Disappear: This song has a very dark feel and makes you want to smash something. In a good way.

The Sharpest Lives: The catchiest song on the album. Mixes a party song with dark imagery and makes a gothic-like dance theme.

Welcome to the Black Parade: THE SONG of the album. It sounds so amazing it's... perfect.

I Don't Love You: A slow song of heartbreak and stands out on such a dark album.

House of Wolves: This is one of those songs that makes you want to jump up and down and wish you could play guitar.

Cancer: Sad :(. But it doesn't really mean anything to me. But if you listen to the lyrics it's possible it might reach out to you. I don't know.

Mama: A harsh song with an unpredictable chorus and amazing ending.

Sleep: Feels like a dangerous song. It creeps you our but that guitar is just... AWESOME!

Teenagers: A really chanting song that could make you laugh depending on your humor. But it's true it's everything a teenager does nowadays.

Disenchanted: Don't think much of this one.

Famous Last Words: This song makes you feel sad, but then lifts you up like an angel.

Blood (Hidden Track): Stay tuned for the minute and a half of silence for a humorous treat.

This album is a must-have for a punk fan. And no, they're not emo. A
